So, I know it’s a bit late into the development cycle to be adding in new features, but I’ve changed up how spells, magic items, and wands work a bit. Now, instead of sapping your HP to cast spells or activate your items, you’ll use up MP, a new stat that’s a bit tougher to recover than HP. In doing this, I hope to make spellcasting builds a bit more viable, since before they relied heavily on HP, and would cripple you if you had high attack on a wand since you’d effectively be hitting yourself over and over again.

In addition, I‘ve added another magic item as well, the Cornuthaum, which is based on an item from Nethack of the same name. The Cornuthaum is effectively a Wizard’s hat, which can be dropped by certain wizard enemies, or found in magic shops. The item, when worn, will regenerate your MP over time, making spellcasting much more sustainable long-term.
